Kerry Katona in labour five weeks early
Kerry Katona is expected to give birth later today, according to her publicist Max Clifford.
The 27-year-old reality TV star was admitted to Macclesfield hospital, near her home in Cheshire, early yesterday morning after her waters broke during the night.
Doctors at the hospital are said to be monitoring her situation this morning before deciding whether labour should be induced.
Her spokeswoman said: "Kerry is doing brilliantly; this is the bit she loves. Obviously it is five weeks earlier than expected but it is within the safe zone. Doctors are monitoring her labour and will make a decision on whether she should be induced later on."
Katona has already said that she is expecting a boy, whom she will name Max in honour of Clifford.
She has a one-year-old daughter Heidi with husband Mark Croft and two older children - Molly, six, and Lilly Sue, five - from her marriage to Brian McFadden.
